For decades, Indian households have struggled with the same quiet dilemma — what do we do with an old god photo when its frame breaks, a calendar at year's end, an idol after immersion?
Tradition says we cannot throw it away. So they accumulate in cupboards, under beds, on temple steps. Eventually they find their way to a river, a tree, or worse — a landfill.
Durga Katyayani Foundation exists to dignify that journey. We collect these sacred items from your doorstep, conduct an Udvasana Puja to respectfully release their divinity, segregate them by material, and recycle them through a certified eco-friendly process.
What was once a guilty disposal becomes an act of devotion — for the deity, for the community, and for the river that no longer suffers the burden.
